The galley-style kitchen blends bold personality with everyday function. Custom concrete countertops provide durability and a modern edge, while a mid-century–inspired colorful tile backsplash adds character and visual interest. A chalkboard wall invites family notes and everyday creativity, complementing the sleek black cabinetry and repurposed stainless-steel elements throughout the space. Together, these details reflect Eldridge Company’s belief that great custom homes should be both stylish and truly livable.
When we began, the only structure left on the property was a detached garage—the rest had been lost in Louisville’s 1974 tornado. We salvaged what materials we could, then added a new roof and filled the design with windows to transform it into a bright, inviting detached office space.
