Who Is Eldridge Company? Eldridge Company is a design-driven construction firm that designs, builds, and remodels custom homes & mixed-use spaces in the Louisville, KY area.
We are looking for:
Construction Superintendent (Project Manager)
A successful Construction Superintendent will facilitate all phases of construction across multiple projects, including coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure that plans are executed in accordance with the specifications and of Eldridge Company quality. Further, it is the responsibility of the Construction Superintendent to maintain a project’s schedule and uphold jobsite safety and cleanliness standards. The Construction Superintendent will communicate regularly with clients, guaranteeing a positive experience for the customer throughout construction and closing.
What You’ll Do:
Utilize Eldridge Company’s construction documents, tools, and processes to complete projects that meet or exceed Eldridge Company quality standards.
Contribute to the refinement of processes though collaboration and innovation.
Schedule subcontractors and vendors in a critical path to ensure timely completion.
Ensure subcontractors complete their entire scope of work within budget and in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Uphold Eldridge Company standards for excellence by constantly monitoring the quality of work being performed by each subcontractor.
Thoroughly inspect each phase of construction for accuracy, quality, and cleanliness.
Maintain positive working relationships with Eldridge Company team members, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify and communicate any conflicts in construction progress or quality concerns to the construction team and come prepared with solutions to help resolve any issues.
Keep jobsite secure, clean, and organized. You will be responsible for making sure trades clean up and lock up the jobsite daily.
Monitor jobsite safety, and ensure subcontractors and clients follow jobsite safety rules.
Facilitate on-site walk-throughs with clients and document any client directives or changes.
Develop, schedule and oversee completion of the final punch list.
Prepare weekly progress reports for each project you are managing, and present to your manager at a weekly project review meeting.
Document project progress by taking photos of work in process.
Provide weekly updates to clients.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of verifiable construction experience. Residential construction experience (including ground-up) is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Working knowledge of construction systems (foundations, structures, MEPs, etc.)
Ability to read blueprints and plan specifications, and clearly relay complex details.
Proficient with technology (laptop, iPhone), including use of email, calendar, docs, and spreadsheets. Experience using Apple devices and Google Suite products is a plus.
Experience using project management software. Familiarity with BuilderTrend is a plus.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to type.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including basic algebra and geometry.
Experience operating hand tools and power tools, a skillset which will be required to self-perform miscellaneous construction tasks.
Holds a valid driver’s license and has an excellent driving record.
Pass a thorough background check and provide prior job references.
Physical Requirements: Able to perform physical labor when needed, including cleanup and loading/unloading of materials. Position involves sitting, standing, walking and other movements. Employee will occasionally need to lift or move up to 75 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of a building.

Designer/ Estimator
We’re not ready to hire a designer yet, but please send a CV- as we are growing!
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage design schedule - Designer schedules all design meetings. Support will be provided by design director for design choices.
Design - Create and update designs throughout design process with support from design director.
Knowledge of necessary permits is necessary during design.
Knowledge of efficient building practices necessary.
Manage client expectations of cost throughout design meetings.
Designer writes project specifications.
Estimating - Designer estimates project build with support from design director.
Permitting - Record plat from surveyor. Designer may be required to obtain MSD and building permits.
Compensation:
Salary is based on experience. Benefits are offered to full-time employees.
