A Kitchen Designed for Hosting

At the heart of the renovation is a spacious kitchen designed for gathering and connection. The design centers around a warm, neutral palette—featuring Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray and Urbane Bronze—and showcases a generous island with seating, a dry bar for serving, and premium Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances. 

Thanks to the home’s large lot, we were able to add square footage to create this inviting new space. Hard to believe, but the cozy TV room you see here was once the family’s original kitchen! The kitchen renovation also made room for an expanded primary suite, complete with a second-floor laundry, a larger primary bath, and even a relaxing sauna.

Expanding the Primary Suite

Designing this primary suite was an absolute joy. The result is a seamless blend of modern comfort and the home’s historic charm. A custom-built sauna in the primary bath offers the perfect space for post-workout relaxation, while the design balances contemporary touches—like neutral porcelain tile—with vintage-inspired details, such as the Anthropologie sconces. The suite also includes two walk-in closets, a rare luxury in this historic neighborhood, each thoughtfully customized to the homeowner’s needs.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living

This home redesign also extends to the private rear yard, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. We often specify Trex Enhance decking for its beautiful wood-like appearance and low-maintenance durability. The covered deck was thoughtfully designed with a retractable television, a ceiling fan for year-round comfort, and ample outlets for speakers and devices. A sliding glass door connects the deck to the spacious kitchen, making it the perfect setting for gatherings of any size.
